Clow Valve Company located in Oskaloosa, Iowa was recently featured in an article entitled Developing Bio-Urethanes for Non-Bake and Cold-Box Molding that appeared in the June 2010 issue of Foundry Management & Technology magazine.  Clow Valve was selected by the University of Northern Iowa Metal Casting Center (UNI/MCC) to run the first foundry trials using the new bio-urethane binders.  The goal of the project, funded by the Department of Energy and conducted by UNI/MCC, is to develop binders that use bio-renewable materials to lower VOC and hazardous air pollutant emissions from foundries.
