An article entitled "Essentials of McWane's Culture Change" written by David Johnson, Editor for Industrial Safety & Hygiene News (ISHN) appeared in the June 2010 issue.  In the article, Barb Wisniewski, McWane's Vice President of Health & Safety is quoted as saying "So many people worked years to make our success happen.  From Ruffner Page and Phillip McWane on down through General Managers, Production Supervisors, and hourly employees.  Without everyone pulling together in the same direction it would not have happened."

Jeff Willman, Group Safety Director at McWane told ISHN "I never would have considered (taking a job at McWane) if Ruffner Page didn't get it.  The people above me were going to give me the tools I need.  This is a dream scenario for any safety professional."

For Team McWane this is a success story, but we are not about to rest on our laurels.  "This program, this culture will remain after Ruffner and I are gone," says Wisniewski.  "There is no one at McWane who wants to go through this again."
