Clow Water Partners with United Way

A 1991 study showed parents who read books provided at doctor's offices were more than four times more likely to read and share books with their children.  This rate increased to eight times more likely with lower income parents.  Stats like these are the reason the United Way of Coshocton County is teaming up with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to provide children from birth until age five with free books ever month for residents of Coshocton County.

Parents can complete an application for each child and within a couple months, their first book will arrive.  Every month, a new book will be shipped to each child.  The first book that is shiped is "The Little Engine that Could" and then each book after will be determined by the age of the child.

Clow Water Systems was pleased to provide a grant to United Way to help start this program and be a part of such a worthwhile program.  This is a start-up program and it already has enough funding right now for the next four years.
