THE PACIFIC STATES TEAM

On May 27, 2009, a Team from Pacific States volunteered their services to the Heart 2 Home Foundation.  Heart 2 Home Foundation is a non-profit foundation that re-builds lives and homes.  Their goal, as the Utah Home Make-Over Team, is to complete at least one major home renovation per year as well as several smaller projects. 

The project undertaken by the Pacific States Team was to make a vegetable garden for the family of Cameron Sevy who was left paralyzed after a sledding accident two years ago. 

Team members brought their own tools from home and made a beautiful garden for the Sevy family.  They cleared out the overgrown area, tilled up the soil, and planted it lots of vegetables.  They then made a path out of a discarded conveyor belt from the plant so Mr. Sevy can access the garden in his wheel chair.

Mr. Sevy was overjoyed and is looking forward to a bountiful harvest this fall.
