In 2008, the waterworks team at Tyler Union developed a new product, the TUFGrip joint restraint.  This new product is available for PVC and ductile iron pipe and was designed for optimal performance under high pressure conditions.  The single tooth design reduces the stress on the pipe and the 4", 6" and 8" PVC designs have 50% fewer wedges than other restraints, which dramatically reduces installation time.

The American Water Works Association (AWWA) recently presented Tyler Union the Silver Award for 2008 Best in Advertising for the TUFGrip product ad.
