About Clow Canada

Established in 1834, Clow Canada is recognized as one of the most experienced manufacturers and suppliers of ductile iron products in the country. Located in Saint John, New Brunswick, our comprehensive facilities and innovative technologies make us an economic, environmental and community leader. From environmental responsibility to employee training and community outreach, we work every day to make sure that we are the very best we can be.

Take our dedication to quality. Since our origin, we’ve manufactured more different types and sizes of municipal waterworks equipment than any other company in Canada. With a wide variety of high-quality products, Clow Canada has a history of excellence that we strive to maintain. Whether that means improvements to our safety standards and environmental regulations or new technology inside the plant, we’re making sure that quality remains our calling card.

Clow’s cutting edge facilities produce a wide range of valves, hydrants and ancillary products. From our 75mm butterfly valve to the high-capacity series 40 Union Flange, we make products of all sizes for customers across the country. From British Columbia to Newfoundland, we sell Clow products to customers who value quality. Where other companies cut corners, we’ve invested millions of dollars to create a safe and modernized plant environment for all of our workers. Because when it comes to Clow, excellence is the only answer.

Awards and Recognition

As an industry leader for many years, we have a long history of positive recognition from both our peers and our customers. You can see our complete list of awards and accolades displayed below.

  • 2016 Environmental Recognition Award

    Environmental Recognition Award

On February 24, 2016 Clow Canada received an award for their environmental accomplishments from a local environmental group they are actively involved with called Sustainable Saint John.  The ‘Environmental Recognition Award’ was presented to the Plant Manager, Ken Matthews, at the Delta in Saint John.  Twelve other deserving companies in the area also received this award at the event.

This award is a little different from other awards in the essence that it can “grow”.  The award is a tree where companies can earn “leaves” for their environmental improvements.  Sustainable Saint John awarded each company different leaves depending on the environmental initiatives they have completed.  Clow Canada earned six leaves for their tree:  Energy, Composting, Source Reduction, Waste Management, Recycling and Special Recognition.

There are a total of twelve leaves a company can earn and Clow Canada will be working hard to fill their tree over the coming years.

  • Clow Canada awarded the 2014 Premier’s Award for Energy Efficiency

On May 22, 2014, Clow Canada was awarded the 2014 Premier’s Award for Energy Efficiency, as the winner in the Energy Efficiency Champion – Industrial Sector category.  The Premier’s Awards were developed by Efficiency NB to recognize companies, organizations and individuals for their innovation and achievement in the field of energy efficiency in NB.  This award is one of the most respected awards programs of its kind in Canada.  Premier Award stated "Each year, I am honoured to recognize the significant achievements of individuals, organizations and communities that are contributing to a better environment and a stronger economy by reducing energy use in New Brunswick".

Congratulations to Clow Canada’s team for doing their part in helping the environment!
