Ethics & Compliance Policy

In addition to the substantial investment into our EHS culture, systems, and processes, we have an Ethics and Compliance Policy that underscores for all employees the importance of understanding and complying with the standards of conduct that are the foundation of our corporate existence.  This philosophy is based on a few fundamental expectations.

McWane expects every employee to:

  • Conduct all of the company’s activities with integrity and honesty.
  • Comply with all applicable internal policies (which are stricter than compliance regulations) and the laws applicable to our operations.
  • Not only comply with the law, but also to avoid even the appearance of non-compliance.
  • Treat all with whom we interact with respect and decency; and in upholding these commitments,
  • Bring honor to the company and to their fellow employees.

From an EHS performance standpoint, McWane is committed to exceeding compliance minimum requirements and promoting accountability.

Finally, and most importantly, we truly believe that our most important asset is our people. Each year, a McWane employee receives an average of 35 hours of training in areas including health and safety, anti-harassment and diversity. Beyond the substantial time and financial commitment involved with training our employees, we also support them by sponsoring employee events (such as holiday parties, summer picnics, and wellness fairs) and programs that promote weight loss, smoking cessation and physical fitness. We further support our employees by philanthropically supporting the communities in which they live. Each year, McWane, Inc. and its facilities give millions of dollars to various community and charitable causes. It is our goal to be the employer of choice in each plant’s community that drives us to invest so much in our employees.
