Michelle Clemon serves as McWane's Vice President of Human Resources and Community Affairs. In this position, she oversees corporate-wide human resources compliance, employee outreach, diversity goals and community outreach. She joined McWane in 2004 as Assistant Vice President/Director of Public Affairs and assumed her current position in 2006.

Ms. Clemon received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Yale University and her law degree from Columbia Law School. A licensed attorney, she practiced labor and employment law with Maynard, Cooper & Gale prior to joining McWane.

Ms. Clemon is a board member of several civic organizations including the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, the Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama (HICA!) and the Vulcan Park Foundation. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for Miles Law School and Birmingham Legal Aid Society. She is an alumna of Leadership Birmingham (Class of 2005) and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
