McWane believes that employee training and development is an investment in the future success of our company. Providing our employees with opportunities to advance their knowledge results in increased value for our customers, employees, and the communities where our products are used.

Since its inception, thousands of employees have experienced McWane University at their facilities and through company-wide initiatives.  To date, more than 1,000 managers throughout the company have completed Casting Leadership Excellence, a three-day professional development course designed to equip all of McWane’s existing management personnel, at every level, with the knowledge, methods, practices and skills to be truly effective leaders and enhance their potential for growth within the company.   As the next step to Casting Leadership Excellence, McWane subsequently developed and piloted its Clear Management Training Program, a 28-hour course that focuses on the fundamental competencies we believe every team manager must possess in order to be effective: self-awareness, communications, conflict resolution, mentoring/coaching, and performance management.

McWane University 2.0

McWane is on the verge of launching McWane University 2.0, its comprehensive online compliance training program.  McWane University 2.0, the next logical step in our overall training program, acknowledges that an engaging, interactive online learning experience can change behaviors, improve business performance, help prevent injuries, and save lives.  The program has been designed to assure consistency and flexibility in scheduling and to centralize compliance training management and tracking.
