Phillip and Will McWane recognized among Birmingham's most influential leaders

The Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ) recently honored McWane Chairman Phillip McWane and President Will McWane for their impact on manufacturing and Birmingham's business community.

Phillip McWane was selected for the BBJ's Power 60 for the third time. The list recognizes dealmakers, powerbrokers and top executives molding the region. Will McWane was named to the BBJ's Emerging Leaders list, which highlights 12 rising influencers who are transforming the Magic City's community and economy.

Together, Phillip and Will represent the fourth and fifth generations of McWane leadership, continuing a legacy that significantly contributes to Birmingham's economic growth and civic development. For decades, the McWane family's leadership has advanced manufacturing, supported local philanthropic initiatives, and fostered economic resilience and social progress within the region.

Most recently, Will and his wife Kaitlin, along with the McWane Foundation, led support for the McWane Economic Education Center, which aims to provide experiential learning in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship to Alabama students. In 2024, Phillip cut the ribbon at Jimmie Hale Mission's Shepura Men's Center Dormitory, for which he provided initial kickstarter funding toward the renovation to serve adults directly affected by homelessness.

Please join us in congratulating Phillip and Will on these outstanding recognitions.
