Amerex recently hosted high school and elementary students for plant tours designed to provide students with a behind-the-scenes look at how products are made.

Ninth grade students from Hueytown High School’s Equip program visited for a plant tour designed to introduce them to real‑world work environments. The Equip program helps guide students as they begin thinking about future career paths, and Amerex is glad to be part of their journey.

Second-grade students from Paine Elementary recently visited Amerex for an educational field trip focused on fire safety and prevention. During their time on-site, students toured the facility, watched educational videos and learned about proper fire extinguisher use using the PASS method.

The visit also included a live fire test demonstration, giving students a firsthand look at how extinguishers perform in real-world situations. Students rotated through interactive stations and activities designed to reinforce key safety concepts in a hands-on, age-appropriate way. They also met Amerex’s mascot, Rex, adding a fun highlight to the experience.

The event was organized by Gidget Yeager and supported by a Amerex team members Mark Lewis, Mike Krumtinger, Alex Hydrick, Lanika Johnson, Chasity Goodwin, Kim McGuire, Kayla Moore, Jason Gregory, Riley-Kate, Linda, Lelend Jen, Kyndal Chrisenberry, Mexi Green, Chris Thomas, Nancy Heard, Nick Denton, Chad Harper, Erik Witte, Joel Colley, Chuck Friend and Mark Bailey.
