McWane today announced M&H Valve has been honored for the fourth consecutive year with the company’s highest environmental, health and safety award – the Screaming Eagle. Presented annually to the McWane company that demonstrates the most outstanding commitment to workplace safety, environmental stewardship and continuous improvement, the award marks the seventh time overall M&H Valve has achieved this level of distinction.

As an indicator of the plant’s exemplary safety performance, M&H Valve ended 2025 with a total recordable incident rate (TRIR) of 0.27 versus an industry average among foundries of 5.5 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. A standardized metric used to track workplace injuries and illnesses, TRIR reflects the number of OSHA-recordable incidents per 100 full-time employees over a one-year period.

However, the success of M&H Valve is rooted in more than just strong performance metrics; it reflects years of steady progress, a deeply embedded culture of safety and accountability and, most importantly, the people who bring that culture to life every day. Through this team’s experience, commitment and shared sense of responsibility, they continue to set a high standard for operational excellence.

According to M&H Valve General Manager Olivier Marietta, “We have an unwavering desire to exemplify The McWane Way in all we do. Over time, we have developed a culture entrenched in teamwork that holds each other accountable to our established standard. This is essential not only in sustaining performance but also improving upon it.”

M&H Valve marked the milestone with a plant-wide celebration aimed at thanking team members for their relentless efforts to perform at such a high level and commitment to sustain operational excellence. Team members were treated to a catered lunch and were joined by McWane company executives as they expressed their deepest appreciation.

McWane Environmental, Health & Safe Vice President Carl Raycroft underscores the importance of celebrating and honoring M&H Valve’s unrelenting commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance. “These team members make a choice to collaborate and support each other every day regarding safety, relentlessly ensuring every employee leaves the jobsite in the same condition – all while protecting the environment and neighboring communities,” stated Raycroft.
